Meetings during February and March

Members of the group have now met with all the bidders for the Scotrail franchise, which is up for renewal this year. We have put our case for Beattock Station to be reopened in the hope that they will look at running a “local” service. Positive from some, but obviously unable to promise.

We have also met with 3 MSPs: Joan McAlpine, Elaine Murray and Claudia Beamish as well as 2 MPs: David Mundell and Russell Brown. Again positive noises, but the important thing is that they all know that we are here and active.

No one has been negative. We continue!
