A survey carried out as part of a campaign to re-open Beattock Railway Station has revealed overwhelming public backing for the move.  The findings – based on more than six hundred completed questionnaires – are to be compiled in an official report for the local transport partnership, SWESTRANS.   It’s hoped it’ll help accelerate plans to carry out a feasibility study known as a STAG analysis, and strengthen the case for Scottish Government funding.  Martin Brown, who’s the Chairman of the Beattock Station Action Group, says he’s hugely encouraged by the level of support for re-instating a passenger stop in the village:
