A survey carried out as part of a campaign to re-open Beattock Railway Station has revealed overwhelming public backing for the move. The findings – based on more than six hundred completed questionnaires – are to be compiled in an official report for the local transport partnership, SWESTRANS. It’s hoped it’ll help accelerate plans to carry out a feasibility study known as a STAG analysis, and strengthen the case for Scottish Government funding.
